WTH: Westside Bunker

So, I’ll admit, I’ve always wanted to go play paintball, but have not yet had the opportunity. Gleaned from limited prior recon, the ideal setup will have walls or elements behind which you may hide, or if it’s extra sophisticated, there might be shifting pieces that may hide or reveal participants. I mention it, because I envision the gray window coverings (?) flanking the front door as just such an element. Like something out of a video game or even combat training: those suckers look like they could drop down for a full frontal assault. Surely, there was once an open, inviting home here, but between the sad, no-light-allowed-in former windows(?), the security door and the fact that the front step is right off the sidewalk–yipes! If someone lives here, hope they are doubling down on Vitamin D. Or: open up those windows, add some metal(?) curtains and let some light in on the situation.

All too typical around Indianapolis…must try paintball myself. Haven’t done it yet either! Have used the MILES system in Army training…almost as good, just not as messy!
