Here in Zanesville, Ohio we have a building 608-612 Main Street, that the city is talking demolition.
They say at a cost of 1 million to demolish. I say-save the facade. They say – cost too much.
I need some good arguing points other than historic value.
This is a tear down town. We have several downtown buildings that are empty. I have put signs on my building and 608-612 building “Save the Facade” “Save the Past” “Teach the Past” “Europe saved their Old Towns. Americans spend $5,000 to vist them for 10 days.” Today, I’m printing pictures of buildings that are being worked on or have saved their facade.
