I worked as secretary to 4 ministers at this church from July 1953 to October 1961 when it had a membership of about 1800.. We were married in this church. I still have great feelings for it & was glad a few years ago to learn it has been designated as a special property. Where did the name “Redeemer” come from? It has always been known as First Presbyterian Church since 1902. I’d like to see its finials more closely. I have not heard of these being called finials before. Learned something already this a.m. from here in CA. Thanks for your site
