“Love makes the world go round,” so the old saying goes. It was also the main point of the HI pitch last night at the Build Indy event. Kudos to Formstack for putting on such an evening–filled with an interesting selection of ten organizations and businesses with a passion for making Indy better.

So what does HI have to do with Love? How about EVERYTHING?

One does not work 15+ hours a day and go deeply into debt to produce something they don’t love.

The question I posed to last night’s crowd: “When you’re in love, what is wrong in the world?”

They were a smart crowd, so they got it. The answer is: Nothing.

Being in touch with that part of ourselves on the day to day would make the world and Indy a better place.

I sincerely believe that there are stories on this website that can inspire, delight and motivate you–and can help you connect and fall more deeply in love with Indianapolis, and in turn, more in love with your life here.

I have long loved the quote “A great deal of what we see depends on what we are looking for,” and I encourage you to look for the best and most unique (let’s face it, that’s usually the oldest stuff) of our city and see if you aren’t surprised by how much more love you feel in your life.

I went to Crown Hill yesterday to check in, as I do from time to time–and one of the first things I saw was this:

I think it’s a sign.

On the right path, you’ll get those.
