Where was/is the Newby house. I know where the Allison and Wheeler mansions located. The Carl Fisher home was destroyed for a Marion University building, I believe. What about Newby’s home??
Arthur’s house was at 42nd & Meridian. It was a ten acre tract of land bought by the Flannel Family (Flannel & Buchanan. It contained a nice home, barn and cherry orchard and extended west to the next street. Being an automobile enthusiast he gave AAA Motor Club part of his land and they had their office here several decades. A high rise apartment is here now surrounded by the original rock wall. An aunt and cousin lived there after Arthur’s death. He never married.
