A few advertising highlights from the 1878 State Fair program…
The etching featured on the cover is an aerial view from what is today, Delaware just about half a block south of 19th Street. Nineteenth Street at this part of the city was Exposition Boulevard when the fair was on the site, and this is the main Exposition building built in 1872 and designed by Edwin F. May, who also designed our current state capitol.
