Hard to believe what a desired commodity this was in 1896 when this advert appeared, considering the only time you’ll find a typewriter these days is on display in a museum or 2nd hand shop. Otherwise, you may merely find the letter keys stripped from the original instrument. Who else recalls using typewriters? Especially pre-electric ones? Changing the ribbon was always sure to leave the changer with blackened fingerprints.
