Sunday Prayers this week shows a property that looks comparable to others you may currently find on the oddly named “Rebuild Indy” demolition list. Rather than demolition, however, prayers were answered when this property was rehabbed. Let’s talk about options–check out Stop the Demolitions, Indianapolis, on facebook. (Not my page, but it’s a great starting point).
“Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.” Take heed.
That’s a beautiful illustration of how a down-and-out home can come back. And I’m sure the city did not put one penny into that rehab and the property tax dollars are significantly higher than if it had been demolished. Win/Win. Thanks.
It just takes someone with a vision to help keep these homes from being torn down! Please look at my neighborhood, of Fall Creek Place, we were fortunate to be able to maintain many of our older homes-Lets try to do the same in other neighborhoods!! Would your neighborhood rather have a weed overgrown empyt lot, because that is what you will end up with.
