Pentecost Road
William B. Pentecost, early landowner, Franklin Township Trustee
William Pentecost was an early property owner in Franklin Township. He was born in in 1832 to Thomas and Elizabeth Pentecost and married Nancy Jane Maxie in 1858. Pentecost was in Franklin Township as early as 1860 and farmed 80 acres in the northeast section of the township. He also served as Franklin Township Trustee in 1887.
He died in 1915 and is buried with his wife in Fisher Cemetery in Wanamaker. Pentecost is believed to have built a house at the corner of Northeastern and Southeastern avenues, where he and his wife celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
