Just to the north of the Old Northside neigborhood lies this vacant home at 19th and Central.
Vacant, but not quite abandoned…
Apparently, the fake stone facade reminded some local artist so much of a Greek temple, he (or she) decided to adorn the building with paintings of a mask of King Leonidas and a tragic spirit.
And apparently this corner of the house inspired a painting of an albino Darth Maul…
The entire combination of artwork (although it is much more admirable than typical graffiti), the fake stone, asbestos siding on the upper half, and plywood and exposed insulation on the lower half is topped off with two orange traffic cones. What the hell?
